Dry Alarm Valve (ZSFC Series)

The ZSFC dry alarm valve is the core control valve for dry-pipe and pre-action sprinkler systems. It stays closed by air (or nitrogen) pressure on the system side while the water side is held full, and opens automatically when an actuated sprinkler releases the system air, letting water fill the dry piping and reach the discharging sprinkler. Ideal for unheated buildings, cold-climate warehouses and pre-action systems.

What is the difference between a dry alarm valve and a wet alarm valve (ZSFZ)?

A wet alarm valve protects a system whose pipes are always full of water. A dry alarm valve (ZSFC) protects a dry-pipe system whose water side is full but the pipe network is held under air pressure and empty of water, so it stays shut until a sprinkler opens and releases the air. Use ZSFC where the protected space can freeze or where pre-action dual-protection is required.
